Sange med historier. Hvad er din favorit?
Re: Sange med historier. Hvad er din favorit?
Kom lige i tanke om nogle flere:
Public enemy - fight the power
Billy Joel - we didn't start the fire
The human league - don't you want me
Grease - summer nights (særligt hvis man antager, at hun druknede i starten af filmen)
Linkin park - leave out all the rest

Re: Sange med historier. Hvad er din favorit?
Kashmirs "The Story of Jamie Fame Flame" er ret fed, og bør være let at gå til for dem.
Well I was sitting in my limousine, drinking champagne
When this little girl knocked on my door
She was crying for my money and I told her:
"little honey I don't have enough I need more"
She was poor I am a rich
So what I really didn't need was that bitch
But anyway I asked her to sit on my seat
So I could mingle off her clothes and feel her heart beat
Everybody knows my name
Everybody wants my fame
There's nobody I can blame
Jamie fame flame
That's my name
Next day in the paper I read about a raper
A picture that was supposed to be me
So when I was walking down the stairs
And I didn't seem to care
I met this crowd and they were shouting at me
They were jumping on my records burning all my pictures
Closing down the fanclub, turning over my car
Then I realized they were all hypnotized and that I was no longer a star
Everybody hates my name
Maybe I should do the same
There's just one man I can blame
Jamie fame flame, that's my name
Then I woke in the morning in the middle of a desert
I found myself alone without clothes
I was freezing I was yawning
Then I met this little wizard and he taught me how to sing with my nose
We sang a lot of songs of what is right and what is wrong
I felt like if I was in a haze
And he took me to a cave where we all were warm and safe
That was the place where I ended my days
Everybody knew my name
Everybody wanted my fame
There's just one man I could blame
Jamie fame flame was my name

U2 Sunday Bloody Sunday er allerede nævnt.
Paul McCartney skrev også om Bloody Sunday i hans Give Ireland back to the irish. Sangen blev indspillet med Wings få dage efter Bloody Sunday.

Counting crows - friend of the devil (films about ghosts)
Dog tror mange andre har sunget den, og det er vist ikke cc, der har skrevet den. Men helt generelt, så kan jeg anbefale at lytte til cc, de har skrevet mange sange med fortællinger.
Everlast - white trash beautiful (eat at Whitney's)
Everlast - angel (eat at Whitney's)

Re: Sange med historier. Hvad er din favorit?
Det handler ikke så meget om baggrundshistorien for sangen, mere om teksten fortæller en historie.
Another Day in Paradise fx, er fantastisk for eleverne at lave en musikvideo til:
She calls out to the man on the street
"Sir, can you help me?
It's cold and I've nowhere to sleep
Is there somewhere you can tell me?"
He walks on, doesn't look back
He pretends he can't hear her
Starts to whistle as he crosses the street
Seems embarrassed to be there
Oh think twice, cause it's another day for
You and me in paradise
Oh think twice, cause it's another day for you
You and me in paradise
Just think about it
She calls out to the man on the street
He can see she's been crying
She's got blisters on the soles of her feet
She can't walk but she's trying
Oh think twice, cause it's another day for
You and me in paradise
Oh think twice, it's just another day for you
You and me in paradise
Just think about it
Oh lord, is there nothing more anybody can do
Oh lord, there must be something you can say
You can tell from the lines on her face
You can see that she's been there
Probably been moved on from every place
'Cos she didn't fit in there
Oh think twice, cause it's another day for
You and me in paradise
Oh think twice, it's just another day for you
You and me in paradise
Just think about it

Re: Sange med historier. Hvad er din favorit?
Nu vi taler undersisning, så er Van Halens "Hot for teacher" vel svær at komme uden om
Oh wow, man
Wait a second man Whaddaya think the teacher's gonna look like this year? (my butt, man)
Oh yeah T-T-Teacher stop that screaming, teacher don't you see?
Don't want to be no uptown fool
Maybe I should go to hell, but I'm doin' well,
Teacher needs to see me after school
I think of all the education that I missed
But then my homework was never quite like this
Ow got it bad, got it bad, got it bad,
I'm hot for teacher
I got it bad, so bad,
I'm hot for teacher
Hey, I heard you missed us, we're back
I brought my pencil
Gimme something to write on, man
Uh uh, I heard about your lessons, but lessons are so cold
I know about this school
Little girl from Cherry Lane, how did you get so bold?
How did you know that golden rule?
Oh wow, man

Roger Waters - "The Ballad Of Bill Hubbard"
[Instrumental]
[Switch channels]
[Alf Razzell:]
"Two things that have haunted me most are the days when I had to collect the paybooks; and when I left Bill Hubbard in no-man's-land."
"I was picked up and taken into their trench. And I'd no sooner taken two or three steps down the trench when I heard a call,
'Hello Razz, I'm glad to see you. This is my second night here,' and he said
'I'm feeling bad,' and it was Bill Hubbard, one of the men we'd trained in England, one of the original battalion. I had a look at his wound, rolled him over; I could see it was probably a fatal wound. You could imagine what pain he was in, he was dripping with sweat; and after I'd gone about three shellholes, traversed that, had it been...had there been a path or a road I could have done better.
He pummeled me, 'Put me down, put me down, I'd rather die, I'd rather die, put me down.' I was hoping he would faint. He said 'I can't go any further, let me die.' I said 'If I leave you here Bill you won't be found, let's have another go.' He said 'All right then.' And the same thing happened; he couldn't stand it any more, and I had to leave him there, in no-man's-land."
[Switch channels]
[Girl:] "I don't mind about the war, that's one of the things I _like_ to watch, if it's a war going on, 'cause then I know if our side's winning, if our side's losing..."
